Mu Alpha Theta, the National High School and Two-Year College Mathematics Honor Society, is dedicated to inspiring a keen interest in mathematics, developing strong scholarship in the subject, and promoting the enjoyment of mathematics in high school and two-year college students. Currently, more than 100,000 students are Mu Alpha Theta members at more than 2,420 schools in the United States and in 23 foreign countries.
The Middleton chapter for Mu Alpha Theta, competes in competitions throughout the year all around Florida. Last year, we placed 8th as a school in the state and this year we anticipate a top 5 school.
Middleton Mu Alpha Theta students are active participants in fun competitions to test their skills against others from around the state and country, but also helping fellow classmates with improving their math skills.
The goal of this club is to help foster comradery and build math skills to help you in class and beyond. We work to challenge each other in preparation for competitions and uplift our peers through tutoring and other outreach activities. We strive to make Math accessible and fun for everyone at every level.
Mu Alpha Theta members are part of an Honor Society and as such must meet certain academic and conduct based criteria in order to become members. All members must maintain at least a 3.5 GPA average in their math classes to be considered part of the Honor Society.
